Burtville East Gold (100%)

The Burtville East prospect is centred around historical workings that consist of two shafts, 9 RC holes and several mullock or ore dumps. The historical exploration targeted quartz veins within strongly foliated basalts. Historical drilling intersected substantial mineralisation including

  • 5m@27.8g/t Au,
  • 2m@6.65g/t Au,
  • 3m@5.3g/t Au.

In August 2016, the Company conducted a detailed soil geochemical sampling program that identified a substantial gold anomaly that extends over 250 by 185 metres in a roughly NNW orientation. The maximum gold values were 42,100 ppb (42.1 g/t) and 886 ppb (0.88 g/t gold) which occur adjacent to the edge of mullock dumps or ore stockpiles. There is also a large anomalous zone +100 ppb extending 150 by 75 metres and an outer halo of 250 by 185 metres of +25 ppb gold values

Stockpile Sampling

Grab sampling conducted over historically mined surface rock piles, identified substantial gold mineralisation. The rock piles were sampled on a 2 metre by 2 metre grid with 71 samples collected 32 samples contain potentially economic gold mineralisation. Better results include:

Aircore Drilling

A 733m drilling program, targeting the historical gold mineralisation, intersected further high grade gold mineralisation including:

  • 8 metres at 6.7 g/t gold from surface
  • 4 metres at 5.1 g/t gold from surface
  • 4 metres at 3.4 g/t gold from 40m within quartz veining in saprolite
  • 8 metres at 0.68 g/t gold from 72m within quartz veining in mafic schist.

The gold mineralisation is associated with a north-south trending quartz vein that is exposed at surface and is open at depth and along strike.
